Interest yourself in his world (not diagonally)

Not "How was school?", but "Who is your favorite YouTuber? Why?". Watch a video together, laugh. Learn the slang: "crash," "cringe," "sigma." Your child will appreciate that you don't ask the meaning of a word for the tenth time. Ask about memes.

Become a partner in gaming

At 10 years old, children are crazy about Minecraft, Roblox, Among Us. Ask to be taught how to play. Don't scold for "stupid games," but try building a house yourself. It brings you closer. Organize a family tournament in a video game with a prize.

Share your hobbies

If you are a fan of rock music, put on the songs of the group you listened to at 10. Tell an amusing story from your childhood (without moralizing). Show your old album with stickers. Watching a movie that you loved at their age also works.
