Why do schoolchildren swear

Emotional release (when there are not enough words to express pain or anger). Imitation of elders (idols, parents). Desire to appear grown-up ("adult vocabulary"). Attracting attention (even if punished, but noticed). It is also a way to fit in with the group (like smoking). Some children do not know the meaning of words, just repeat them.

Why bans don't work

The more you ban, the sweeter the fruit. Fines and reprimands turn cursing into a forbidden fruit. Moreover, teachers themselves often curse in the staff room (children hear). Fighting with prosecutor methods is useless.
