Since the early 70s of the last century, India has held the first place in the world in the production of films. Their annual production has long exceeded a thousand. Films are made in Hindi, Bengali, four South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam), English, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Assami, sometimes even for the sake of exoticism - in Sanskrit. Bombay (now Mumbai) is recognized as the capital of film production. By analogy with Hollywood, Indian cinema figures call their film center in Bombay Bollywood. Similar film centers were established in Kolkata (now Olkata), Madras (Chennai), Bangalore and Trivandram (Thiruvananthapuram).

Since the mid-1930s, India has already developed a system of movie stars whose participation in films guaranteed them box office success. Major movie stars in the 1950s included Raj Kapoor, Nargis, Dev Anand, Dharmendra, Rajesh Khanna, and others. Then they were replaced by Amitabh Bachchan, Mithun Chakraborty, Rekha, Madhuri Dixit and others. Currently, Indian cinema is dominated by Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan, Preeti Zinta and others.

ALL DEBUTANTS ARE YOUNG

More and more actors come to the world of cinema, who are often not yet 30 years old. Among them are Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor.

As fate would have it, their acting debut took place on the same day - November 9, 2007, during the celebration of the festival of lights "Diwali", which in India traditionally begins the New Year. Young actors have only just begun to conquer Bollywood, but they are already being advertised by numerous media outlets in India. However, some journalists complain that the figures of Indian cinema do not really like tall film actresses (Deepika is 1.75 m tall, and Sonam is 1.77 m tall) and as an example they cite the disappointing, in their opinion, acting careers of Tabu and Sushmita Sen. But we'll wait and see. Maybe the actors will stop being short by then, or they'll be ordering high-heeled shoes like Shah Rukh Khan does.

All of them are not from ordinary families (those who come from families of workers and peasants now have nothing to do in the cinema), but children of famous parents. Prakash Padukone, Deepika's father , is a world champion badminton player, Sonam's father is a famous film actor Anil Kapoor, Ranbir's parents are also film actors Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor (son of the famous Raj Kapoor in our country).

Deepika was born in 1986 to Ranbir (full name Ranbir Rishi Kapoor) and Sonam in 1982 and 1985 respectively. They almost simultaneously began their ascent to the cinematic Olympus. Deepika came to the world of cinema from modeling, advertising soap, toothpaste and lemonade. At the V annual competition of Indian models and designers " Kingfisher "("Kingfisher") won the title of "Model of the Year". Deepika doesn't have any acting training, unless, of course, you take into account the three-month acting course at the Anupam Kher Academy. Now, however, she decided to get a higher education and entered the Delhi correspondence department of the Indira Gandhi Open National Institute, wants to get a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Ranbir Kapoor has a more solid film background. He completed a two-year course at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. Then he studied acting at the famous Lee Strasberg Film Institute. He worked as an assistant for various directors on the shooting of three films: "The Book of Love", "Homecoming " and" Blind " (released on video). Sonam was also an assistant director for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Blind. So S. L. Bhansali can rightly be called the" godfather " of Ranbir and Sonam.

Immediately after the end of the filming of the film "Blind", the director invited them to play the main roles in his sentimental melodrama "My Love", which he shot based on the story of F. P. Blavatsky. Dostoevsky's "White Nights". Ranbir has long dreamed of working with this famous director. Before that, he managed to star in two short films, and poor Sonam had to lose 30 kg of weight, otherwise she couldn't fit in the frame. I had to go on a strict diet under the constant supervision of my parents and give up chocolate and ice cream.

The film was released on the screen, but the audience remained indifferent to it. And the point, probably, is not in the game of debutants, but most likely in the operator's delights - the whole picture was shot through a light filter in a dead light blue color. It looks like a stylization of a theatrical performance.

The action takes place in some fantastic city like Venice, where a single gondola moves along the canal. And every now and then a bell rings from somewhere.

Ranbir is completely different from the Indian that we are used to seeing him. He has a hooligan expression on his face. Eagle profile. He can easily pass for his "gateway guy" in Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, or even Albania. Sonam looks like a mysterious Persian girl. She accepts Raj's advances, but is secretly loyal to her beloved Prince Iman (played by Salman Khan).

Of course, in terms of acting, Sonam is still very far from the famous actress Rani Mukherjee, who also appears on the screen in a cameo role. However, even veteran Indian cinematographer Amitabh Bachchan noted Sonam and Ranbir's undoubted talent. He sent them a letter and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. "Have you ever heard a Beethoven symphony? - writes Bachchan. - A thundering orchestra and a delicate flute sound - such is the wish and fate in the interpretation of a brilliant composer. Fate makes itself felt loudly and menacingly, and desire-gently and tenderly. These are the characters of "My Love": Ranbir is the storm, and Sonam is the graceful, gentle breeze that follows it. The plot of the film is almost like a Beethoven symphony, where the sound of the orchestra is always accompanied by the soft sound of a flute - this is a symbolic interpretation of a gentle desire and an irresistible fate."

It was written on the fate of the film's characters - to meet and part. Fate was stronger than feeling. The grandson of Raj Kapoor wants to restore the former glory of the studio "RK Films". S. L. Bhansali dedicated this film to the memory of the great showman. It is no coincidence that the hero of the film is called Raj, and the emblem of this famous studio is constantly displayed against the background of the scenery. Ranbir and Sonam have already been announced as rising movie stars, and now producers are one by one trying to get them into their new film projects.

Sonam is co-starring with Abhishek Bachchan in Delhi 6, a new film by O. R. Mehra. Rakesh Roshan is currently working on the script for his new film Krrish 2 (directed by Om Rakesh Mehra) and is planning to cast Sonam and his son Hrithik in the lead roles.

Ranbir Kapoor has a creative mindset so far, but it's unlikely he'll stay idle for long. An interesting role awaits him in the film of his childhood friend Siddharth Anand "Beauties, be on your Guard!". It is only known that the actor will have to live on the screen three stages of the life of his hero: a 17-year-old teenager, a guy of 28 years and a man "in juice" at the age of 35. In this melodrama, Ranbir plays the role of a hard-hearted scamp who recklessly turns love with three girls (actresses Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone, Minisha Lamba), refusing to marry them. However, the fourth girl (Katrina Kaif) turns out to be a tough nut to crack and rejects his love. After that, the Indian Don Juan wakes up conscience, and he asks for forgiveness from all his former lovers. This noble act of his melted the heart of the unapproachable girl No. 4, and she agrees to marry him. Subhash Ghai (known in India as the "Raj Kapoor of Our Time") is waiting for Ranbir and Deepikon on the set of his new film "The Crown Prince", which is due to be released in 2008.

Deepika Padukone starred as the heroine of the 1970s romantic melodrama "Circle of Life". "Everything goes back to normal" - the one who committed evil in the past life will be punished in this one. And the hero will always be happy, if not in this, then in another life. Circle of Life became a blockbuster movie in India right after its release (it was shown at the Berlin International Film Festival in February 2008), and Deepika became a new movie star overnight.

Stardust magazine awarded her the "Future Movie Star" award, and "Star Screen" - the "most promising debutante" award.

Some time ago, Deepika signed a contract to shoot the first Indian-Chinese film - the adventure comedy "From Chandni Chowk to China". Her co-star on the set will be Akshay Kumar. Filming began in February 2008 and will take place in Delhi and Shanghai.

Deepika has recently become quite a sought-after actress. For a role in one film, she is already asking for a fabulous fee of 10 million rupees. The aspiring actress has four more contracts on her hands to appear in films directed by Siddharth Anand and Imtiyaz Ali (they don't have a specific title yet). Imtiyaz Ali, in particular, believes that Deepika is better suited for the role in his film than Kareena Kapoor, the protégé of the famous actor Saif Ali Khan. In the film" Happy New Year", viewers will see Deepika along with Shah Rukh Khan. She will also be co-starring with Sonam in the film Bollywood Blues (directed by Manan Katohara).

And one last thing. Sajid Khan, the director of Hello Baby, is working on a script for a new film. It will be a family drama with elements of comedy. Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan and Deepika Padukone are all set to star in the film. However, the shooting of this film will not begin until 2009.

As for the personal life of the actress, she is athletic by nature, likes to play badminton, basketball, tennis, bandy, baseball. So Deepika likes athletic guys like the cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni or Yuvraj Singh, the captain of the cricket team. Yuvi, as Deepika affectionately calls him, invited the girl to his birthday party in a five-star restaurant, and the two of them celebrated the 22nd anniversary of the rising star in Australia. Recently, the actress is often seen with Ranbir Kapoor. However, all-knowing journalists claim that Deepika will not get married for at least two years. She really has no hurry. In the meantime, the main thing for her, by analogy with the famous song , is first of all, first of all films, well, and then the boys, and then the boys. Her father also does not advise her to hurry up with marriage, first you need to conquer the cinematic Olympus.

Deepika, Ranbir and Sonam took their first confident steps on the road to big cinema. They have all the data to become real Bollywood stars.
